SHIPPING POLICY

 

DELIVERY
1.1 All orders are to be delivered by Postnet.
1.2 Should a different courier service be required, it should be expressly and clearly indicated in the comments section upon placing an order.
1.3 An order will only be dispatched upon:
1.3.1 Approval of payment made;
1.3.2 Receipt of proof of purchase; and
1.3.3 Verification of delivery / billing address.
1.4 Customized items have a longer lead time and are made according to order.

 

DIRECT GIFT DELIVERY
2.1 Direct delivery can be made to any specified person (“recipient”).
2.2 The following procedure should be followed:
2.2.1 The full name, surname and address of the recipient should be stipulated in the space provided under ‘delivery address’ at the checkout stage
2.2.2 It should also be stipulated in the ‘Order Notes’ section that the invoice is to be sent to the buyer at the billing address, and is not to be sent with the parcel.

 

ORDER CONFIRMATION
3.1 A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the buyer upon the placing of an order.
3.2 A further e-mail notification will be sent to the buyer when the order has been dispatched.
3.3 Should no such e-mails, as referred to above, be received, the buyer should contact the seller at info@merakilifestyle.co.za.

 

LOST OR DELAYED ITEMS
4.1 Should ordered items be delayed or lost, the buyer should contact the seller at info@merakilifestyle.co.za stating the order number. The seller will then conduct an investigation in the matter.

 

CUSTOMS INFORMATION
5.1 The seller is unable to calculate any customs or import duties levied.
5.2 The seller is not responsible for any customs or import duties levied whatsoever.
5.3 The seller is not liable for any delays caused by customs.

 

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
6.1 Should a product be defective or damaged in the opinion of the buyer, buyer should report such defect or damage to the seller on +27 72 252 2423 or  info@merakilifestyle.co.za
6.2 Cancellation before receipt of confirmation e-mail:
6.2.1 Buyer should e-mail seller stating “Cancellation” as the subject of such e-mail;
6.2.2 Should seller receive such e-mail before a confirmation e-mail is sent, seller will refrain from sending the ordered products and buyer will therefore not be liable to pay for the ordered products.
6.3 Cancellation after receipt of confirmation e-mail:
6.3.1 Buyer should wait until products are received and only then should buyer follow the returns procedure;
6.3.2 Buyer will be liable for the return costs.
6.4 Cooling off period under the Distance Selling Regulations:
6.4.1Buyer will have a period of seven (7) days since receipt of products in which he/she can elect to keep the products or to return the products;
6.4.2 Should buyer wish to return the products, he/she should contact the seller via e-mail before the seven day period ends;
6.4.3 Such products are to be returned in the same condition they were in when received by buyer;
6.4.4 Personalized items will be returned at the expense of the buyer;
6.4.5 Any free gift or promotional item(s) enclosed as part of the purchase should also be returned, failing which the retail cost of such item will be deducted from buyer’s refund;
6.4.6 Once buyer returned products to seller in the condition it was received, seller will refund the buyer in the amount paid for the products by the buyer within five (5) working days;
6.4.7 Any products returned in terms of the above is done at the expense of the buyer;
6.4.8 Seller will not be liable for products that did not reach it
