In life you meet rare gems & often without knowing they encourage you to be a better person…
…to be more adventurous
Meet Megan Keyser…
The brave creative spirit behind {Meraki} Jewellery Design.
After establishing her own business and pursuing a life long dream of creating unique designs, she now also exhibits at Design Indaba.
It is no small feat that she followed in the footsteps of her creative parents, but when it comes to designing amazing wearable art, she is definitely the one to keep your eye on in future.
To match that she is also running her business on her own with huge success!
I love how she captures the clean geometric lines in her jewellery, yet she also dabbles in soft pastel ceramic bead work.
Her keen eye for detail & strong sense of design is what makes her work stand out from the usual daywear pieces.
Below you will find a few of my favourite pieces from her collection.
She is also currently working on the *New {Anya} range, which consist of the bracelet set (below) and two necklaces.
For more info on her jewellery, please visit: www.merakijewellerydesign.com
or alternatively make an appointment to meet her at her studio in Kloof Street, Cape Town.
Megan’s Tips on caring for your Meraki Jewellery:
– Please care for your Meraki jewellery by removing it after wear and storing your gem in a safe, dry place.
– All Meraki Jewellery pieces are made from sterling silver and brass.
– These metals will naturally tarnish and develope a patina over time with exposure to oxygen, moisture and perfumes.
– These patinas are part of you jewellery’s life and can be quite beautiful.
– In order to slow the process down, keep your jewellery clean and dry.
– Wearing your piece will keep it shiny and beautiful, as jewellery tends to polish on clothing and contact.
– You can restore your jewellery to its original lustre by using a treated polishing cloth.
